BMW E24, E28, E30 Seat Upholstery – Work Procedure
1. Remove Old Covers & Steam the Foam
1. Remove Old Covers & Steam the Foam
Remove the old upholstery covers and use steam to reshape/prepare the foam.
2. Repair & Replace Damaged Foam
2. Repair & Replace Damaged Foam
Cut away the old/damaged pieces of foam and glue in the new foam.
3. Prepare the Middle Section
3. Prepare the Middle Section
Prepare and shape the middle section of the seat for installation of the new upholstery.
4. Prepare the Bolsters
4. Prepare the Bolsters
Prepare the side bolsters and make sure the foam is correctly shaped and ready for the new covers.
5. Prepare the Headrest Pillow
5. Prepare the Headrest Pillow
Prepare the headrest foam/pillow and fit it correctly before installing the cover.
6. Assemble the Bottom Part

Install and secure the upholstery on the lower/bottom section of the seat.
7. Assemble the Top Part
7. Assemble the Top Part
Install the upholstery and finish assembling the upper/back section of the seat.
8. Glue back cover for front seat
